I worked with kids all summer so the trends I saw were the trends kids were into. the two big things for the summer were silly bands and go gos. these are the new pokemon cards except less intricate.
at first these two things seemed ridiculus to me go gos are little plastic charaters that are differnt colors. there are a bunch of differnt kinds and kids collect them, some kids have hundreds. silly bands are elastic bands that are in differnt shapes and colors.
I've never seen an advertisment for either product, which is either because there aren't any or becuase on my not in their target market and there good at adverrtising. Either way I know kids everywhere have them I work in CT so i know their popular there and I know there popular in VT becuase my cousins are crazy about them.
I currently own about twenty silly bands that kids have given me, but i would never buy my own. GoGos are just ridiculus i feel bad for parents who have to buy them.
